‘Gaze’

Jack Bordnick’s interests include creating artistic, meaningful works of art that can be enjoyed by all peoples and cultures. Being a designer and sculptor, has allowed him to share these professional experiences in a beneficial way for both community and neighborhood projects of this nature. Gaze

In 1996:
I am in the hammock

bare beneath
that short silk dress

He is crossing the yard
with a book

Breathless breezy
he comes to me

I in the hammock swoon
I swoon and take the book

Flip the pages slip between
lithe limb swing

Into the golden folds I tuck
the treeshade of that day

But in my recollection:
I am the one crossing the yard

I approach the girl in the hammock
The book begins in my hands
